The Neglected Realm of the Earth
St Denis, located in France, is arguably Europe’s first Gothic Church
[1140-1144 AD].
It is poetic that this image should be
used to represent a new way of life, for our future.
If one were to take this image and transform it into something else -
architectonically,
what might one arrive at. If it was the first of its kind - it is fitting that
it shall be used to create the first Neglected Realm of the Earth...
...a new underground way of city life.

First,
we sever the image
- removing the lower half of the space which is far less interesting than the
architectural feat of "the birth of the gothic arch". Then, we mirror the image -
resulting in a new space.

We then mirror the image again - creating a hive like space.
How might this new space benefit humanity.
If one looks closely, one will see how this new architecture might be
inhabited.
An image of a NEW DOWNTOWN CITY has been superimposed beneath the arches.
A new underground way of city life.

The close-up detail of the
city.. nestled in between the arches
may be required
someday. It is conceivable that this environment will be necessary on this
planet or on another astral body. If not necessary, then p e r h a p s preferred.
Construction methods exist today for creating this life
beneath the earth.
And w h y shouldn't it be undertaken
...why not explore this Neglected
Realm of TERRA FIRMA.
